Pics from my 24th Month

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to pop in real quick to post some pictures from the past few weeks. I've been enjoying my first month of being two!! Here are a few items Mommy has asked me to blog about:
--I've had to visit my room for some "Uh oh Time" a little bit recently. My major offense was when my Mommy discovered me with my finger shoved down Connor's throat, enough to make him gag. She was really sad, and I was too when I had to go to Uh Oh Time. I'm not sure why she was so upset, because I TOLD her I was doing it, right before she caught me, but she only understood a little bit of my words, I guess, not the whole explanation. Oh well. Apparently sticking one's finger down your brother's throat is NOT ok. Noted. I've also had to go to UhOh Time for crawling on top of the coffee table and jumping from the stool onto the couch. Sometimes my Mom can be SUCH a drag, people...
--I LOVE LOVE LOVE jumping. I do it almost constantly. And jumping houses??? My favorite thing ever. In addition to choo choos and choo choo tracks. :)
--Still doing really good at church!! That's where we whisper, look at books, and listen to music. And today the priest guy was wearing a PINK hat! SO COOL!! (Archbishop Keleher said Mass)
--I can go down the stairs without holding on to anything, and I've learned how to climb into my chair at the kitchen table, by myself.
--My parents are still really happy with my sleep, even though I've been playing this game with them called, "Blankets on my back!" That's where everytime they put me to bed, I say, "Blankets on my back!!" Hehe...I WANT them to put a blanket on my back, but I just grin at them when they ask me to lie down. So, they leave, and I cry, although, I'm starting to get over that and mostly just whimper and then fall asleep. I guess the game is getting old. I'll have to come up with something else soon. ;)
--I attempted to climb out of my bed last weekend (August 15th), but my parents discovered my bed could be lowered one more notch, so I'm still in my crib, for now. If I could just grow one more inch, I bet I could scale it. Soon, man. Very soon. ;)
--And MOST exciting, I put pee in the potty!!! It was a pretty exciting day!! I've just done it once, but I got M&M's after I did it, and called all kinds of people to tell them! Since then I haven't really been that interested in doing it again, but someday I'll do it all the time. Someday.

Enjoy the pictures!!

After bath with Daddy!

Being a good Mom to one of my babies :)

Hey, Mom, am I too big???

This is where Mommy found me one day after the house was a little TOO quiet.
I was just "checking my e-mail."

With Uncle Francis, celebrating his birthday!

Hanging out in my room with a BOY for the first time ever (w/ my friend Zach)

Just relaxing, browsing through the Pottery Barn Kids catalogue. Mommy does it ALL the time, so I thought I'd give it a try. Man, there's neat stuff in there! ;)

Walking in Daddy's Shoes

Hmmm.....sometimes it's not easy to walk in Daddy's shoes....

Also, Mommy said I needed to 'fess up and document the fact that yesterday, August 6th, 2010, was the first day I stuck something up my nose. It was an eyeball, otherwise known as one of those Yogos yogurt bites. Strawberry to be exact. ;) At Granite City. I did, however, alert my Mommy right away, and she was able to coax it out, and I got a pretty firm talking-to. So, now, this is what I say: "Eyeballs, nose. No no. Mouth, yes yes." :)

The Big 2!!

People.

It happened. Yup. I'M TWO!!! Hooray!! Mommy's been asking me ALLLL summer, "Hey, how old are you gonna be??' to which I have always responded, very happily, "TWO!" Well, now it's here - it's official - I'm a TWO YEAR OLD! So, here are all kinds of pictures to prove that it happened!

The day before my birthday, Mommy and I had a date at the swimming pool and the cupcake shop, and Grandma Jo played with Connor. When we came home, it was time to open up presents from Grandma Jo! I got some markers (I LOVE markers, people), a super cool Elmo Piano book, which I also LOVE, and some neat sound puzzles!! I also got a really cool Elmo camera, which has Elmo's voice on it! Mommy's favorite thing he says is "Work it, baby, WORK IT!" :)

The next day was my BIRTHDAY! I knew it was going to be a long day, so it was important I got a good head start by drinking all my milk. :) While sporting my first of two birthday shirts, of course.
Before naptime, I opened my Godmama Kari's gifts - she drove all the way up from Dallas to visit me for me birthday! I opened up a really cool kitty-cat shirt that changes colors when in the sun...
AND an adorable apron. It's important to have aprons, because when you're two, you take over a lot of the cooking responsibilities. Right? Don't you??
Next, I took my nap. I soon found out that lots happened while I was sleeping. Take a look...

Pretty neat looking, huh? When I woke up from my nap, Mommy had me change into my second birthday shirt - an ELMO shirt! And she put my hair in pigtails so I could wear my new ELMO hair bows from my friend Abby (and her Mommy Elizabeth). Then, we headed down the stairs, while everyone sang Happy Birthday.....to ME!! I was sleeping when most of the guests arrived, so my party turned into a surprise party!

It was a little intimidating, but I didn't cry!

Next, I checked out the decorations with Mommy, and then started celebrating! First up, coloring Elmo pictures. Here I am with my friend Roy.

Here I am checking it with Daddy, who looks like he's having a great time too!!

Soon, it was time for CAKE! (well, er, cupcakes, that is). My Elmo cupcakes were red, of course, and my Mom said she didn't want me to ruin my new supercute Elmo shirt, so she said, "No shirt." Sigh.

Mommy lit the candles...

and then everyone sang Happy Birthday....to ME! :) I was a good listener - see how I'm taking it all in??

My cupcake sure was yummy!!

And my friends enjoyed them too!!

Danny

Adele - she came ALL the way from Minnesota for my party!!
(well, & maybe her aunt's baby shower too...) :)

Roy

And Caylen (although, yeah, no cupcake in this picture - but a great smile!!)

I had so much fun eating my cupcake, that I stayed at the table even after all my friends were gone. Hey, it's my party and I'm going to do what I want! :)

Man, it sure was good!

When I was FINALLY done, it was time to play with my friends! We spent some quality time in my ball pit..WHEEEE!!!!....

...and I made sure all my friends got decked out in Elmo Party Gear.

Adele

Near the end of my party, I took pictures with my Godparents, Aaron and Kari, and Grandparents. (oh yeah, and I guess my brother too).

Finally, I opened up some gifts from my Gran and Grandpa. I got a backpack and lunchbox for school, because, did you know??, I start school in September! First stop, Parents' Day Out, next stop, KU! :)

Soon, it was time to wrap up the day, but not before playing a few holes of golf with PooPaw.

What a great day! I'm so thankful I got to spend it with such neat people. I'm looking forward to a year of great adventures, and I can't wait for #3!!
