December is FUN!

Hi Everyone! I am having a super fun December so far! Guess what? I went for another long car ride and this time I didn't cry at all. It helped a lot that my mommy sat in the back with me. That way I knew I wasn't all by myself. She and I, and my Gran and Grandpa Steve, drove all the way to this place called Grammie and Grandpa Ralph's house. I had lots of fun there, and I got my very first Christmas present! I've been told I'm going to like those a lot when I'm older, but right now I really just liked the bow the best. When I was there, I played a song for my mommy on the piano. It went like this - "F." (It was just a one note song. I am pretty little, you know.....) I also went to this place called Aunt Cindy's house. There were lots of nice people there, and a doggie too! And guess what??? My Uncle Dave was there!!!!! I've only seen him one time, so I was super excited to see him again. Mommy said I get to see him again soon, too, along with my Uncle Dan. I love my Uncles - yay!!! So here are some pictures of my trips this month - I hope you like looking at them. I'm getting real big, huh? It's almost time for me to get my own credit card!!! Right Daddy?

Oh yeah....this is a picture of me and my friend Andrew, who came to see me over Thanksgiving. He didn't like my bow, so he tried to pull it off. MEN!

Here I am playing the piano. The only song I know right now goes like this - "F."
My mommy told me it was the best "F" she had ever heard.

Here I am opening my first Christmas present. See the pretty bow? It was cool.

Here I am with Grandpa Ralph. I wanted to get his nose.

And now here I am with Grammie.

And then here I am with my Mommy, Grandpa Steve, Grandpa Ralph, and Grammie.
They said it was a 4 generation picture? I don't know what that means though...

Me and Uncle Dave. Isn't it a funny picture of me? If you do a close up, I'm really blowing a gigantic bubble! I'm so talented, huh?

Whew! What a Month!

Hi Everyone! So, I'm 4 months old now! Can you believe it?? So much has happened since I last sneaked by my mom to get on the computer to update my blog. She's in the shower now so I have a little bit of time to type. :) In the past few weeks I got to experience my first Thanksgiving, my first Santa visit, a visit with all of daddy's friends and their babies, and my first KU win over Poo Poo Mizzou!!!! Also, my Mommy has started doing some work for this company called SDE, so she has to leave sometimes, which helps me get to know my Daddy better. I tried really hard to be a difficult child and go on a bottle strike, but he broke me down by the yummo Karo Syrup he put on the bottle. I couldn't resist - curses! Now we're best of friends. I guess I can wait until I'm a teenager to give him a hard time again. Hope you enjoy my pictures! I also hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Daddy takes me to the doctor tomorrow, so I'll write again soon with my measurements and stuff. Oh, and maybe I'll try out my new trick - a fake cough - at the doctor's office, see if she falls for it. Hehe!

All dressed for a visit with Santa!

Ho Ho Ho!!!

Whoa....so this is a beard?? Mind if I chew on it?

Here is me with my Mom and Dad. And of course, SANTA!

Me and Grandpa Steve at Thanksgiving. And my cow. Moo!

Me and Mommy during the KU-MU game. They say I look like an Elton John baby here??? I don't really know who that is, so whatever.....

Here's a picture of all of us kiddos with our daddies.

More News

Hello again everyone! So, the past couple weeks have been pretty exciting. I got to meet my friend Adele for the second time (I met her once before in the hospital), I met my friend Andrew who lives in St. Louis, and I went trick-or-treating, 'cept on the wrong day, cause I had to drive in the car all day on Halloween. Here are a couple of pictures of all that. Also, here is the link to see pictures of me and Andrew. http://flickr.com/photos/danosdieck/sets/72157608683558777/
And, here is another link to a picture where a monster had my hand and I was really scared!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/danosdieck/3006172630/in/set-72157608683811511/
Oh yeah, while we were in St. Louis, I went to my first sports event - a St. Louis Blues hockey game. My Mommy gave me a B+ for my behavior there - I guess that's not too bad! :) (Although she did give me a D- for the drive back home....whoops.....)

Oh yeah! And I VOTED for the first time! Yay!!!

Enjoy the pictures!

My New Talent!

Hello Everyone!

I asked my mommy if she could record me giving a speech, because I have so much to tell you about my life so far. Here is a video of me telling you everything that I have endured in my 3 months of life. Please e-mail my mommy if anything isn't quite clear or if you have any questions. She would be happy to relay your comments to me. Thank you and have a nice day.

3 Months Old

Hello Everyone,

Well, it's official! I'm 3 months old! Did you know that's 1/4th of a whole year?? Aren't I good at math?? Since I last updated, my parents abandoned me for 4 whole days so they could go to this place called Las Vegas. While they were gone, I stayed with my Grandma Barb and Grandpa Steve for half the time, and then my Grandma Jo for the other half. I had lots of fun with them, and I even moved in my crib for them, but I have yet to show my mom and dad how I do that.

Also, there is this thing called Halloween coming up, and I'm going to be a Monkey! So, of course, mommy has had that black thing all up in my face again, trying to take pictures of me in my Monkey costume. I'll post some of my favorites just for you! Also, my Uncle Pete took a picture of my family, since we were all wearing KU clothes and hats. Hope you like it! Talk to ya later!

Love, Emmy

No. I don't want to smile. What is this thing I'm wearing, anyway??

Mommy fell for it. At first she thought I was just picking my nose. THEN she noticed which finger I am "picking my nose" with and figured out how I really felt
about getting my picture taken. Hehe!

But....I guess it's not THAT bad getting my picture taken. There could be worse things.
Hey, check out how good I am at sticking out my tongue! That's my new favorite trick!
That, and spitting. :)

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Here's one more, just for fun!

Happy Halloween Everybody!!

I got shot...4 times!!! Sniff...

Hi Everybody,
Do you know what my mommy made me do? She took me to this place to see that doctor lady and I got shot! FOUR TIMES! It was real sad for me, and I didn't even get fun bandaids. :( But, mommy said it was for my own good and that she loved me and that's why I had to get shot. It has made me really sleepy, but at least it doesn't hurt anymore.

They also took something called measurements, and mommy said I should write on here what they were. I weighed 11 pounds 9.9 ounces and I am 23.75 inches long. They say I'm super tall - that my height puts me in the 89th percentile. Whatever that means. They also say I should play basketball. Whatever. I'm just concentrating on sitting up right now. One thing at a time, you know?

My Gran told me I'm a slacker since I haven't updated this for 2 whole weeks. Whoops. I've just been too busy smiling and playing, and last Friday I laughed for the first time! I don't do it REAL often right now - it's better for me just to do it every so often, just to keep everyone guessing when I'm going to do it again.

Here are just a few pictures from the last two weeks. Enjoy!

Love, Emmy

Hello. How are you?
I am 8 weeks old in this picture.

Here is me with my Mommy!

Coming soon to a Halloween near you!
I'm gonna be a Monkey! Yay!

The Big 5-0

Hello Everyone! So, today I turned the big 5-0. Yup, that's right! 50 days! I was totally expecting a big party today, you know, complete with clowns, pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, pony rides - the works! So, I asked my mom what time people were coming over and, more importantly, what cute outfit I was gonna wear! But, my mom said parties only come when you turn YEARS old. That made me really sad. No party?? I have to wait until I'm a whole YEAR old?? That'll take forever! Oh well. Man, it's hard to figure this world out!

Grandpa Steve said I needed to put more pictures on my blog. Geez, so demanding, huh? Luckily, Mommy took some more this week. Here you go! I'm getting really good at the smile thing. Hope you like them!

Love, Emmy

Thank you Shawna for my super cool rockin' headband. I love it!

Wait....Mommy??!!! Where did you go??!!
(I think my head needs to grow just a little bit more....)

I'm pretty cute, huh?

Here I am with my Mommy and Daddy at our Badminton Tournament. I don't know what badminton is, but I guess I'll find out when I'm older, cause Mommy said they have this party every year. Maybe I can get so good so I can play Badminton in the OLYMPICS! Yay! See our matching In & Out shirts? My mommy and daddy's team was "Team In & Out, Emily Style." I can't wait until I can play too!

I'm Old! I'm 6 Weeks Today!

Hello Everyone! Today I turned 6 weeks old. Where has the time gone? :) Since I'm so old and getting so mature, I asked my mom if I can have a cell phone so I can call all my friends. She said no. She said I have to learn how to say my words first, and that my friends might not understand my squeals, grunts, and sighs. Geez....so mean....I tried though. Anyway, here are some pictures of me that my mom took today. Check out my super cute jogging outfit. It's just a little big, but it has gotten cold here and I needed something warm to wear. Hope you enjoy the pictures! I'm smiling in some of them. That's a new trick I do every day now, and they're real smiles, too! When I make them, my mom and dad talk in real excited voices! I guess they like my smiles!

Love, Emmy

My Daddy picked out this outfit to register for. Thank you to Maggie for buying it for me!

Here's my new trick - my smile!

Now that I'm older, tummy time isn't THAT bad.
But I still cry when I get tired of it. It's such hard work!

Even though I'm 6 weeks old, I still need my beauty sleep!

I'm Running for President!

My GREAT Uncle Francis has convinced me to run for President! It'll be tough, seeing that I'm a month old, but I think the country is ready for me! The first things I'll do are to make sure everyone gets at least two naps a day and I'll give a vibrating bouncy seat to everyone, because they are so fun! Everyone will be so happy then! Check out the link below....

I get so happy thinking about them! Here is a video of me playing in my crib in the morning, thinking of my favorite things. :) Enjoy!

Meeting New Family Members

Over the past two weeks I've met some new family members. I drove to Junction City (well, my parents and Grandma Jo helped - I'm too little to drive myself yet...) a few weeks ago to meet my Great Uncle Francis. Then the next weekend, my Uncle David flew in from Arizona to see me. Here are some pictures of me with them!

Here's me with Uncle Francis! I'm wearing a bib he bought me. It says, "My Uncle Loves Me."

Here I am with my Uncle David. I was really in love with his sunglasses.
I just haaad to put them on....

....and I'm totally stylin' in them, don't you think???
