Fall Update

Hi Everybody!

I hope you all have been having a wonderful fall! We have had a nice, warm one and it's been lots of fun! Lots of pretty blue skies, not a lot of rain...great for lots of playing outside! Also, I've been watching the trees - so many of them have their leaves all gone. That means they are ready for snow, did you know that? You can see lots of nests in them, too, now, which is pretty neat. I've been learning so much about fall and Thanksgiving at school. Like, do you want to hear something that's sad? Did you know lots of the Pilgrims died? Because they didn't have enough food to eat? Yeah. I learned that at school. (Sidebar from Mommy: Random favorite topic right now? Death. Dying. Heaven. Where did this come from?! So depressing!) Also at school, we just celebrated our own version of a Thanksgiving Feast. We had things like turkey, grapes, apples, celery, carrots and popcorn to eat. And COOKIES. It was pretty fun. I came home with an Indian headband and an Indian necklace, since we pretended we were American Indians! No pics though...it was just us with our teachers. But, I DO have some pictures of some other neat stuff! Like, (whispering now) Halloween. Yeah!! You want to hear something that is silly? I saw a cemary (cemetery) when I was trick-or-treating and there was a guy and his BONES were in it. It was just a pretend cemary, and it lighted up. I liked it a lot and it will probably be the main thing I remember from trick-or-treating this year. (See?? Again with the death theme. Sigh.....) Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures I have to share with you!

Love, Emily

Playing in Mommy and Daddy's room on our pillow mountain.

(comment from Mommy) 3 1/4 years and the swing is still like crack to her. Amazing how she has yet to outgrow her love for swings!

Rock Chalk!
(another sidebar from Mommy - all of a sudden we're posing like this for pictures?? what??? when???)

Here I am with Miss Amy, my Kindermusik teacher. I love her!!

Me and Danny!!!

Me and Sleeping Beauty, aka my buddy Olivia!!

Cinderella joined us for a dance!!

The weekend before Halloween our Playgroup had our 2nd Annual Halloween Party! I've known most of these kids since I was 3 months old, says my Mommy.

Boo! Do I look spooky?? Don't worry, it's just me, Dr. Emily.

All ready for trick-or-treating!!!

First stop: Grandma Jo's!

Happy Halloween!!

Next stop: Danny's house so we could trick-or-treat with him!

Also, recently we drove all the way over to another town called "Apeeka." That's where my friend Caylen lives with his Mommy and Daddy, Shane and Anna. And do you want to know something that's neat? Caylen has (in whispers) bunkbeds!! Yes Way!! Only, I didn't get to see them on this trip, as we ate lunch at Red Robin and then went to the zoo and out for ice cream, but he does. Isn't that neat?! He's fun. Another 5 year old. Sigh....all these older men in my life...what's a girl to do... ;)

Wish we saw you more often, Mr. Caylen!! Can't wait to see you in A Christmas Carol in just a few weeks!! Break a leg!
