18 Month Update

So, what's up people? I told Mommy that we better update my blog with actual pictures from me at 18 months, instead of just videos, or else there will no pictures in my blog book from this oh so exciting time in my life! :) Being 18 months is exciting. I'm choosing to say more words. It seems to please the parents. Over the weekend, I decided to say please, eat, and house. :) And I love love love to pretend. It's fun to pretend I'm in the bathtub and washing my hands and hair, it's SO fun to put babies to sleep (which I realize we've covered in previous entries, but it's FUN people - I do it A LOT!) and this morning, I decided to be a frog. Ribbit. :) I will say, though, being 18 months can be HARD. Sometimes my mom just doesn't GET IT, you know?? So, I cry. But then I get over it and we move on. Such is life. (I've learned this in my huge amount of months I've lived.) Enjoy the pictures!

Wearing mom's shoes. It's a new favorite thing of mine, especially if they're Daddy's ref shoes. (Please excuse the hair...mom says we're "growing it out..." Whatever lady.)

Me and Daddy, and the flower he got me for Valentines' Day! Awww...

It snowed and iced so much yesterday that my Daddy's games got canceled! So, he put together my Christmas present from my parents! Isn't it neat?? And do you like my Spring dress and bare feet? I'm practicing for Spring, which mom says will come before I leave for college.
I don't believe her.

Something else I looooooooove is taking every single thing I own, including new Spring clothes Mommy bought, and piling it all in my ball pit. It's awesome.

Feeding my Baby Jayhawk. :)

Taking Baby Jay for a spin around the kitchen.

Grandpa's Little Cooke Monster

Lately when I go to Lawrence to visit my Gran and Grandpa, we make cookies together! I just love it, and it's helped me learn a new word - "Hot!" :) Here is a video of Grandpa and I finishing up. I don't know why he and Gran are laughing so hard - I felt it was completely necessary to make sure the cookies tasted yummy. Isn't that part of baking cookies???? :)

Big Sister in Training

Hi Everyone!

So, you've probably all heard by now - there's a baby in my Mommy's tummy!! And that baby is a BOY baby! Yup, I'm gonna have a little brother! Or, as Olivia says, who I sometimes watch on Nick Jr. if I wake up cranky from my nap, a little BOTHER. ;) We have pictures too, which Mommy says she will post when she has time to get to a scanner. Anyway, today my little brother got some jammies in the mail from my friend Delaney and her Mommy and Daddy Carey and Cole. I loved the jammies so much and just HAD to play with them. So I used them to practice putting one of my babies to sleep, cuz you know, when my brother is here, I will have to know how to lay him down, give him a blanket, and make him go to sleep. I'm SURE my Mommy will give me all KINDS of new responsibilities like that. ;) Anyway, enjoy the video! And, watch for two of my signs - "blanket" and "sleep." I sign "blanket" when I run off to go get the tissue paper, and I sign "sleep" at the very end. I'm gonna be a GREAT big sister! Enjoy!!

Love, Emily
