Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Hi Everybody!!!!

Guess what!?!? I'm 1!!!!!!!! Yeah! It happened, people! I had my very own birthday! I had to wait forever to get one, like 12 MONTHS, but Mommy says that's how long it always takes. And, Mommy says, if I'm real good and careful, and don't climb on stuff TOOOOO high, I might get another one in another 12 months! Cool!!!! :) That means more cake and presents - for ME! I love this stuff!

So, I wanted to get the partying on early, so I got up at 4:45ish that morning. I was just so excited! Mommy kept signing "Sleep" back to me, though, so I told her I'd only sleep if she was holding me. When we finally got up for good, I got to wear my birthday shirt and a fun hat for breakfast! After a nap, we went to Chucky Cheese, which is this place that has a lot of rides and fun lights and other things to look at. I had fun! My Daddy came too!! He and I played these neat games called Skeeball and Pop-a-Shot! Guess what, people - you got to use BALLS for those!! I love balls! They're so......round! And they roll! NEAT!

After another nap, people started coming over for my party. My Gran came first and brought the balloons my Mommy ordered. I had lots and lots of balloons - they were so pretty! Then my Grandma Jo came, along with my Grandpa, Uncle Dan, Cousins Barb, Kelsey, and Ryan, my Godfather Aaron and Megan and Danny, and my friend Bryan. We had lots of fun! My Uncle Dan bought me my very first CAR!!! He said he ALWAYS wanted one for himself, so that's why he bought it for me. I'm so lucky!! I can't wait to ride it, but I have to wait for the battery to charge. Then, I'm off to go shopping all by myself! I got some other neat presents too, including money for swim lessons, a sports center to practice all my mad athletic skillz, a shopping cart, to practice my mad shopping skillz (hehe!), and a tool bench, to practice my mad furniture building skillz, so I can be just like Daddy!! THEN!!! I got this pretty mushy thing called a CAKE to play in! It was really messy! Everybody kept telling me and signing for me to eat it, but I really just liked playing in it. It felt so weird! Then Mommy gave me a bath and I got to play some more before everybody went home. Then I signed sleep to mommy and daddy and crashed right away!! I had so much fun!!!

Thank you, everyone, for all the birthday wishes! I loved turning one, and now I can't wait to turn TWO!!! (all of a sudden my mommy is crying.....I have to go give her a hug.....)

Chicago, the 4th, and Random Fun

Dear Everybody,
I finally figured out how to sneak away from my mommy so I can update my blog. Sorry it's been awhile! She and my Daddy are playing on this website called Facebook, so they're distracted! It's hard to get away from them....I try to go in the bathroom, the laundry room, up the stairs, into the bathtub, into the shower, but they are ALWAYS right there! Grrrr.....how's a girl supposed to get any alone time, geeeeez....get a life people....quit following me around. Maybe it'll change when I get big and turn ONE! That's only a few days away!!

Anyway, so, June was lots of fun. We went to this faraway land called Chicago, and we had to take an AIRPLANE to get there! It was my second airplane ride ever. I'm a pro at them now. Only, I don't remember much about the ride, because I kept falling asleep right when we took off. Whoops. But Mom and Dad said I was a rockstar traveler, so that's good I guess. It's good to be nice to them sometimes, because my friend Adele told me they might buy me PRESENTS for my birthday! So, I don't want to mess with that - I'll be good! Chicago was lots of fun - I got to play and play and play and play and play with my friends Adele, Andre, and Andrew. I also got to see my Godmama Kari. I liked exploring her apartment, and her bed was real comfy for my nap too! AND, I got to stay up each night until about 10:00!!! That's super late people!! 'Cept, it took me about a week to get back into my regular routine, AND I caught a cold AND cut two top teeth RIGHT when we got back. So, I was kinda sad for a little while. Cold+teething+missing all my friends+staying up late = Sad Me. But I got over it.

Some other pictures you will see are from the 4th of July. Apparently this is a day for Daddy to stay home and take me and Mommy swimming. Not sure what the big deal was about this day - I kept waiting for something SUPER special to happen, but I went to bed like normal. I did hear some loud booming noises when I was half asleep....not sure what that was all about. Maybe I'll figure it all out next year. WAIT - I just heard another loud boom! How long does this 4th of July stuff go on for anyway???
