Fall Leaves

So, a few weeks back, Daddy took me out to play in the leaves. Mommy followed with the camera and took no less than 1500 pictures. Ok, maybe not that much, but it was a LOT. Here are some of them - enjoy!

Mommy dolled me all up. The hat and scarf lasted maybe 5 minutes. :)

Preparing to JUMP!

Whoa - there are a LOT of LEAVES!

Cute pic of me. Not so cute pic of Mommy. ;)

Leaves are FUN!!!

Have some leaves, Daddy!

Mommy's favorite picture of them all!

"Playing" with Connor! ;)

Fall Pictures

Hi Everyone!

It's been awhile since I last wrote. I've been busy - the social calendar just fills up when you're two, you know? For example, here is a typical week at a glance:
Monday: Mommy goes to this thing called "Handworks," which is two hours of craft time for her and playtime in our separate classrooms for Connor and me.
Tuesday: Parent's Day Out, 9:30-2:30
Wednesday: Cure' of Ars Playgroup (we've been playing together for two years - Wow!)
Thursday: Our only free day
Friday: Mommy/Emmy Date Day (Kindermusik and Lunch Out Together)
So, see I've been busy! :)

All right. Pictures! Let's talk about them! Here we go...

Showing off my new KU dress. Rock Chalk!

Hehe....Mommy thought I was just quietly playing in my bed one day after nap time. Little did she know I had decimated my changing table. I even pulled open the drawer, pulled out the sock tub, and dumped those out, too!

See???

A cheesy pic.

I was a monkey for Halloween! I can't believe I haven't posted anything about that holiday - I loved it!! :) Oh! Let me post a video of me trick-or-treating!! Here....watch it!!

Trick or Treat, Please!!!

Taking inventory of my loot.

A few weeks ago, Mommy and I built a tent together, and I got to eat my snack in there while I watched "My Shows."

This Thanksgiving, I discovered the awesomeness of Pumpkin Pie. Yum!!!

Daddy thought it would be funny to have me imitate Mommy, when Baby Connor was in her tummy. I thought it was so silly!!

I'm such a good Mommy!! ;)

Here are some of my Art Projects from Kindermusik over the summer. Not sure what happened to the poor monkey's arm....

Little Boy Blue

Little Boy Blue
Come blow your horn.
The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn.
Where is the boy who looks after the sheep?
He's under the haystack fast asleep.

:) See if you can make out the words in this lovely rendition of the above nursery rhyme. :)

Another State to my List - Minnesota!

What up, friends?

Last weekend was LOTS of fun!! My family and I drove for a long, long, long time in the black car to see our friends Brian, Cheri, Adele and Robert (and Molly the Dog) at their house in Rochester, MN. I had a great ride up to their house. I never cried once, because big girls don't cry in cars, only babies do (like Baby Connor, and he did). Instead, I watched movies, colored on my Etch-a-Sketch, had Mommy massage my feet, and slept. I am now a traveling pro. :)

While we were there, we did lots of fun stuff!! We visited a Pumpkin Patch, we played outside, Adele and I formed a band, I played on Adele's big girl bed (mine is still in a box in our hallway), and we watched the Chiefs lose. ;) I also loved playing with Adele's kitchen. Adele has a brother named Robert, and I got to practice sharing toys with him - he helped me get ready for when Connor wants all my toys. I have to work on my patience and sharing a little. ;)

We had a great visit and I can't wait to play with them again soon!! Thank you Brian, Cheri, Adele, Robert and Molly the Dog for a fun visit!!

Love, Emily

Here I am walking into the Pumpkin Patch, using the buddy system with Brian, Robert and Adele!

Do you like our jean skirts?? It was a REALLY warm day to go to a Pumpkin Patch in Minnesota!

Adele and I posing for pics

Mommy kept saying "Look at the camera, girls!!" but I HATE looking into the sun, which is where she was standing.

Here's a picture of my brother, chilling. :)

Adele and I enjoyed reading books in her room. Her bed was NEAT!

We played in a band together! The bat made a great guitar.

Here's a picture of my brother and Robert!

Here are all four of us kids, wearing our new KU shirts. We're pretty cute, huh?

I had a great time!!

A Much Overdue Update

Hi Everyone!
Whew! It's been awhile, huh?? Life has been so BUSY for me - being two just takes up so much time, you know?? There's so much going on for me, now that I'm so old. Kindermusik, Playgroups, Parent's Day Out....I am a busy girl. All right. Let's see if I can remember what I've been up to the past 6 weeks (or so).

First, Mommy took me to my first KU Football game, just the two of us! We sat way up high in the chairs. There were lots and lots and lots of steps. I liked jumping on them while we waited for the football game to start, and I was able to see Big Jay from a distance. Soon, Mommy said they closed the stairs to jumping, and I wasn't able to jump anymore. Bummer. Then, this big, loud voice started talking and people started to clap and yell and scream....I hated it. It was so bad that I yelled, "Too loud, Mommy, go bye bye!!" over and over again, until we finally did leave. Mommy tried to get me to watch the Marching Band, but, man, it was just too loud, you know?? I couldn't hang. Maybe when I'm three, but I don't know, people. It was SO LOUD! ;) Instead, Mommy and I went on a really long walk. I saw a big tower that went "Bong....bong..." (that was also loud and I didn't like it either). I also played in a big fountain, and THAT was lots of fun. Overall, I had a good time, despite the noise. Here are a few pictures of my experience...

Just inside Memorial Stadium, ready to find our seats!

Me and Mommy. See our matching t-shirts??

Eating Popsicles with Grandpa, after the game.

Next, I've started going to school!! (Parent's Day Out.) I go on Tuesdays, from 9:30 until 2:30. I get to each lunch there and I take a nap on a cot! My teachers names are Miss Barb and Miss Shannon. I am having lots of fun there. There were a few rough weeks in September when life was kinda weird around my house (my brother was in the hospital and my Daddy was gone for a week), but I'm back to loving it and I'm having LOTS of fun and learning LOTS of new things. For example, I've taught my Mommy our prayer we say before lunch: "God is Great, God is Good, Let us thank him for our food." And, today, when my Mommy picked me up, I told her a new saying I learned at school from my teachers. It goes like this: "Rain rain go away. Come again another day." Have you heard that before?? I love teaching my Mommy the things I learn at school! ;)

Ready for my First Day of School!!

Here I am, all settled in in my classroom. They have a BIG Etch-a-Sketch. I love it!

Let's see, what else....Oh yes. My little brother had to go to the hospital a few weeks ago. Mommy and Daddy stayed with him while he was there, and I got to spend some special time with Grandma Jo and Gran and Grandpa. I didn't get to go see Connor in the hospital, but here is a picture of him lying in his hospital bed. Everything turned out ok and he only had a cold and an ear infection. But, he was pretty sad. :( I'm glad he's better!

Finally, we recently visited the Pumpkin Patch at the Louisburg Cider Mill. Here are a few pictures from that adventure. It was such a beautiful day and we had a great time!

Playing in a teepee. There was a HOLE at the top of it! Whoa!

Me and Daddy on the wagon ride.

Jumping off of a haystack tower into my Daddy's arms.

How tall this Fall?? THIS tall!

On our way home, kickin' it in Mommy's glasses.

And, last but not least, here is a pretty great picture of me and my Daddy. He is so fun!! I love playing with him!! Love you, Daddy!!!
